Be green, save some green and help out area homeless dogs and cats. Clean up around your house and re-gift what you might otherwise be tempted to throw away!
Many local animal shelters can accept gently used household and pet items. Needed items often include towels, bedding, newspaper, office paper, pet food, pet toys, bowls, blankets, pet carriers, leashes and collars. Office supplies are sometimes needed, too. Check with your neighborhood shelter for specific needs on their wish list.
This is a great way to avoid trashing your baby's old bedding or to finally re-gift those towels grandma bought for you.
